FAQ
Good questions to ask any contractor
Start with a honest assessment of what bothers you most, maybe it’s the layout, the cabinets, or the outdated appliances. Bring photos of kitchens you love to your first meeting, and we’ll sketch out a plan that fits your budget and lifestyle. Many homeowners in Bonney Lake skip this step and end up with a kitchen that doesn’t quite work for them. We’ll measure your space, discuss your daily habits, and suggest upgrades that actually improve your life, not just your home’s resale value.
Most Bonney Lake kitchen remodels take 6 to 12 weeks from start to finish, depending on the scope. A simple cabinet refresh might wrap up in 3 weeks, while a full gut-and-rebuild with custom millwork and high-end appliances could take 3 months. We’ll give you a clear timeline upfront and stick to it, no vague ‘as soon as possible’ promises. If delays pop up, we’ll notify you immediately and adjust the schedule together.
Online quotes often cut corners on labor, materials, or permits, things that add up fast in Bonney Lake’s regulated building market. We charge for real craftsmanship, not assembly-line work. That means proper framing, waterproofing for our damp climate, and finishes that last. A $15,000 ‘deal’ might save you upfront, but you’ll pay later in repairs. We’ll break down every cost so you know exactly where your money goes, and why it’s worth it.
Focus on high-impact, lower-cost upgrades first, like replacing hardware, adding under-cabinet lighting, or swapping out countertop edges. In Bonney Lake, we often see homeowners splurge on appliances but skimp on storage or layout, which ends up costing more in the long run. We’ll help you prioritize what matters most to you, whether it’s energy-efficient appliances, durable quartz counters, or a layout that actually works for your family’s cooking habits.
